Budnitz Bicycles – Bike Model No. 5

By - May 13th, 2013

Serial entrepreneur Paul Budnitz approaches bike building with an inclination to do something “outside of the box”, much like what he did with his other venture, Kidrobot. The result is a design that fits in neither mountain nor road bike genres, yet perfect for all day-to-day occasions, like his newest No. 5 model. In order to engineer the so-called “world’s greatest step-through frame,” Budnitz and his team took two years to perfect the final design – a cantilever frame with split tube for cushioning. Because the frame is lower than most bikes, riders can get-on or off with ease, whether in pants or skirts. This feature, along with the chain-less carbon belt drive, 29-inch wheels and German-made evolution rubber tires, guarantee a smooth rider over city streets on your daily commute to work or just a cruise along the shore during your days off. Hand assembled in either titanium or cro-moly steel, Bike Model No. 5 comes in four sizes with various colors and are all available now through Budnitz Bicycles‘ online store starting from US $2,600 to US $4,800.
