Spanish shoe brand http://camper.com/” target=”_blank”>Camper has opened a new http://nendo.jp/” target=”_blank”>Nendo-designed store in New York City that makes interesting use of the white walls surrounding the large, airy space. Thousands of white shoes — replicas of the Camper Pelota model — protrude in uniform rows, the toes pointed outward. Japanese design studio Nendo wanted to create the illusion that each shoe, made from resin, was “walking on air,” while also creating the impression of an “orderly stockroom.” Actual shoes are displayed on clean white platforms distributed throughout the floor, though some share space on the walls with their faux white counterparts.
