Daft Punk's Random Access Memories raced to the top of the charts following its May 17th release, and now the French electronic music duo have availed themselves to racing of the Formula 1 variety. Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel De Homem-Christo made a rare public appearance this past Sunday at the Monaco Grand Prix, showing their support for their British Formula 1 racing team, Lotus F1. (Daft Punk's record label, Columbia, is a Lotus team media partner.) Unfortunately, the Daft Punk-themed car, driven by Romain Grosjean, failed to "get lucky," retiring 15 laps before the finish following a collision with another driver.
