Tek Recon, an outfit based out of Toronto, Canada, has introduced its namesake flagship game, one that purports to bring video games to life. Players arm themselves with Tek Recon Blasters, equipped with real trigger action and specially designed “NRG Rounds” — reusable soft rubber rings that fire up to 75 feet. Connecting one’s mobile device to the blaster allows users to take advantage of the “Real-Life Online Gaming” app, which enhances blaster battles by providing player locations through GPS radar. There’s also interactive heads up display, plus live chat and vision modes, all rolled into a free app be available for iOS and Android devices. Learn more at Tek Recon’s Kickstarter page.
