The digital revolution has almost wiped out any trace of mainstream analog use in recent years; only the devoted analog fanatics keep the tradition alive, while the rest of the world is plugged into their preferred gadget. URBANEARS is striving to bring a new twist to analog records--scratching to be exact--by producing a very interesting marketing campaign called The Scratch Poster. Together with Copenhagen-based design studio Uncle Grey, they developed a 3D-printed poster with varied grooves that produces sounds similar to traditional scratching of vinyl on turntables. Check out the below video to experience the Scratch Poster, which could be the future of scratching without records or turntables. Sadly, this poster is not for sale, but it should be easily duplicated with a 3D printer.
