Dutch outfit Vanmoof is set to redefine intelligent urban commuting with the Vanmoof 10 Electrified Bike. The minimalist design is built with an anodized aluminum frame and borrows technology from the automotive industry, including GPS tracking, smart power control and a lightweight, integrated battery. A compact motor in the bike's front wheel is able to boost the rider's pedal power by 80%, using an onboard computer that monitors cycling behavior and road conditions. The battery has a range of 18 to 37 miles and requires 3 hours for a full charge. Riders can also use the freewheel function to hit the road without electrical assistance. The bike is available for pre-order now, directly from the source.
