A tradition that started first in 2007 with the Big Band Senna, luxury watch maker HUBLOT will be honoring the late Formula-1 racing legend Ayrton Senna once again with the new MP-06 Senna Watch later on this year. Along with the 2009 Big Bang Foudrouante Senna and the 2010 King Power Ayrton Senna, the MP-06 Senna is the fourth of such iteration in marking the friendship between HUBLOT and the Senna family.
Unveiled earlier this week during a special presentation at HUBLOT’s factory in Switzerland, both Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of HUBLOT, and Bruno Senna, nephew & heir to the Senna legacy, marveled at the new timepiece. Comes in three-forms starting with the MP-06 Senna 18K King Gold, to MP-06 Senna Titanium, and finally the MP-06 Senna All Black in black PVD titanium. Each n matching sapphire dials skeletonized to reveal the intricate tourbillon movement, the watches include a sapphire crystal front and case-back. Powered by either a HUB9006.H1.1 hand-wound tourbillon movement (Titanium and All Black) or HUB9006.H1.8 (18K King Gold), all with 19 Jewels, 155 components, and a 5-day power reserve.
Packaged within a presentation case and a miniature reproduction of Ayrton Senna’s racing helmet in 88, 89, and 91, there will only be 123 of these rare gems (or 41 per design), a nod to Senna’s 41 F1 victories and 3 world championship titles.
