Behind all those psychedelic graphics is Porsche's contender at the upcoming FIA World Endurance Championships and 24 Hours of Le Mans for 2014. Shot at its worldwide unveiling during a test run at the Porsche track in Weissach, Germany, the new LMP1 builds on the model last used in the 2011 season, updated with the carmaker's latest technology, including new ventilated fenders, a vertical stabilizer, quad LED headlights, and a larger rear wing. While all of these changes seem so far off, Porsche has plans to one day integrate them into street-legal cars because, as the company's Chairman, Matthias Müller, put it, "there's a race car in every Porsche." A few more weeks worth of tweaks will follow this test run where the more than 200 Porsche designers will fine tune every component ahead of the upcoming season.
