Nike Flyknit Free Hyperfeel | Preview

By - June 17th, 2013

The next logical step in the evolution of Nike footwear along their minimalist track is this just leaked Nike Flyknit Free Hyperfeel. It’s clear that this one is going to be both extremely lightweight and incredibly comfortable and responsive; we already know that about the Flyknit upper and the feel of the Free sole. This is about as close to barefoot that you can get without wearing sandals, but then you won’t have Nike’s Dynamic Flywire system helping you along the way. There’s no release date set yet, but it’s cool to see the next generation Free sole together with the Knit. A safe bet it would be a Fall/Winter 2013 drop.

Wow, I wondered how long Nike would wait until they released a shoe that was actually minimal. Those Nike Frees are a bit of a joke when it comes to functional footwear!

I like what they've done with the sole – it looks very reminiscent VIVOBAREFOOT's approach to footwear who are the pioneers in the barefoot shoe category.

Let's hope the toe box is wide enough to let your toes splay and recoil and the heel is thin enough to get maximum proprioception.
