2013 Nissan March NISMO S

As one of the many challengers to MINI John Cooper Works‘ reign in micro cars, the 2013 Nissan March NISMO S features a 1.5-liter engine capable of 116 horsepower and 115 lb-ft of torque, about 37 more in horsepower when you compare it to the standard 1.2-liter engine. In addition to its five-speed manual transmission, NISMO engineers tweaked and re-tweaked all the March’s performance aspects from its custom exhaust system, suspension, to the braking unit and new 16-inch alloy wheels.

Similar to all other NISMO creations, the March includes red accents on the side mirrors and front grille, plus LED daytime running lights and a more aerodynamic body kit. Plenty of alterations went on the interior as well, now with a Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel as its centerpiece. Nissan swapped out the seats and instrument panel as well, and replaced them with new bucket seats and speedometer topped off at 220 km/h. Scheduled to be available through dealerships across Japan in December, it is likely the vehicle will be introduce as the Nissan Micra NISMO S sometime next year in Europe. Unfortunately, there are no plans yet to make it available in North America.
