The Maison Martin Margiela Spring 2014 Menswear collection has fashioned a look of power out of repurposed elements and shiny textiles. Throughout the show, men walked the runway in dress pants and a kilt skirt of the same color. Blazers were the main focus of the collection as they varied from ones that that revealed stitching to ones that revealed bare arms. Other blazers from the line were constructed to be worn inside-out, hence translating into a clever, patch-work design. Pants were tailored to be loose and cropped at the ankles, while t-shirts hugged tightly against the chest. The color scheme was kept to subdued tones of black, white, gray, and blue with the occasional pair of yellow dress shoes thrown in for pure shock affect.
