Riccardo Tisci has found inspiration in the obscure theme of “space-aged tribal wear” for his GIVENCHY Spring/Summer 2014 Menswear collection. From robots to stripes, boom boxes to wire boards, Tisci has taken his talent of symmetrical print creations and produced ensembles of futuristic outfits in black, red, blue, gray, white, and beige. The layered effect of his past collections is again revisited here. The key look of the season consists of leggings layered with flowing shorts which is then layered with a wrap-around parka. The designer has also included some crew-neck sweaters, relaxed tank tops, and rugby-esque button-down shirts to the mix that are worth a second look. Add a pair of matching sandals from the collection and you’re about ready for Spring in Africa in 3014.
