Somewhat a rarity in a market now dominated by cheap “Made In China” goods, http://vandeyk.de” target=”_blank”>VANDEYK Contemporary Cycles still makes its performance bicycles the old fashion ways – by hands. Hailed from Stuttgart, Germany, also the home of both Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, VANDEYK approaches each design in similar methodology and treat them as works of art on wheels, a creative process it demonstrated recently on the http://vandeyk.de/index.php/rapha-continental.html” target=”_blank”>Rapha Continental Bike.
Created with http://rapha.cc” target=”_blank”>Rapha‘s specifications in mind, the VANDEYK x Rapha Continental Bicycle features frame made from http://columbustubi.com/” target=”_blank”>Columbus XCr stainless steel in configuration of 38mm down tube and 44mm head tube. Unlike your typical road-racing bikes, VANDEYK added higher tire clearance, seatstays, along with state-of-the-art disc brake system and drivetrain, which resulted in a road going bike with elements of a cyclocross frame.
Finished with a Rapha’s signature “stripes” graphics and pink on black color scheme, the VANDEYK x Rapha Continental Bicycle is a one-off creation unfortunately. However, you can order your own custom bike through VANDEYK’s http://vandeyk.de” target=”_blank”>online store.
