First shown at the http://mondial-automobile.com/en” target=”_blank”>2012 Paris Motor Show last fall as a concept prototype, the http://bentleymotors.com” target=”_blank”>Bentley Continental GT3 Race Car will finally make its first public debut at this week’s http://goodwood.co.uk/festival-of-speed” target=”_blank”>Goodwood Festival of Speed in England. Powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, a dedicated team of engineers fine-tuned the powerplant into race-ready configuration. With all the premium amenities removed, Bentley added a racing-spec 6-speed sequential gearbox, along with competition braking system, four-way adjustable dampers, double wishbone suspension, and carbon fiber panelings. With all the trimming and adjustments, the racer’s overall weight is 12% of the original road-going Continental GT.
While no detailed information about its performance are available at this time, the Bentley Continental GT3 will most likely participate in the http://gt3europe.com” target=”_blank”>FIA Group GT3 racing series in 2014.
