With his just-released Magna Carta Holy Grail album continually revising sales estimates by the day since its July 4 Samsung-coordinated drop, Jay-Z continues his rather unorthodox marketing strategy with a live performance of “PIcasso Baby” at New York City’s Pace Gallery. Earlier in the week, Hova responded to a Tweet asking about track visuals saying that 6 are underway; what he didn’t reveal was that he had plans for a live display, putting on a performance that lasted 6 hours in front of fans and exhibit visitors. Footage from the show will also reportedly be used for the song’s video, with the clips from the other performers of all styles likely to be added in, too. In addition to Jay, Judd Apatow, Wale, Jerry Saltz, and Marina Abramovic’ stopped by to join in on the performance, which Billboard nicely summarized for us in this user-submitted clip after the jump.
