Ten years ago, Korean director Chan-wook Park released his cult classic, Oldboy, shocking audiences around the world with his graphic work. Spike Lee attempts to remake the thriller by directing an American version of the Korean film. Casting Elizabeth Olsen, Samuel L. Jackson, and Josh Brolin, the story is also inspired by the Japanese manga of the same name. By looking at the trailer, the plot is predominantly identical to the original film, except for few changes in some areas to make it more Hollywood-friendly. Look out for Lee's interpretation of Oldboy to hit cinemas on Friday, October 25. Check out the trailer for the feature film below.
