It may pack a Corvette engine, but this Sin R12 Supercar is blazing a course of its own, beginning with its unveiling at this year's Goodwood Festival. Developed by Sin Cars GmbH of Germany with the help of British tuning company ProFormance Metals Ltd., this mid-engine supercar is built upon a tubular spaceframe chassis with a carbon composite passenger cabin that weighs in at featherweight 2,116lbs. In addition to its aggressive body styling, the R1 is capable of sprinting to 62mph in 2.5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 200mph thanks to its LS3 6.2-liter V8, which is controlled via a Graziano six-speed manual transmission that sends power to the back wheels. All together, this is clearly a case of speed over style, but with a bit more focus on designing an interior with a few more of the luxuries offered by other brands, Sin may be on to something.
