If you’ve got a serious case of the summer time blues, the Doctor will see you now. Hailing from L.A., this is not the first time that the Doctor of Design, http://drromanelli.com/” target=”_blank”>Dr. Romanelli, and http://converse.com” target=”_blank”>Converse have decided to work together, choosing to go with the Converse Chuck Taylor 1970’s model as their next canvas. The upper of the silhouette features a reworking of a vintage Japanese textile, boro, into the iconic hi-top, allowing each pair to blend together the history of the sneaker brand and the hand-crafted details from which the fabric came. Each pair is comprised of both hand loomed indigo from old Japan mixed with patchwork to create a look that is more happenstance than anything else. No word yet on when these collaborative kicks will drop, but take two aspirin and continue after the jump to get a more detailed look at what’s to come.
