If you’ve got a serious case of the summer time blues, the Doctor will see you now. Hailing from L.A., this is not the first time that the Doctor of Design, Dr. Romanelli, and Converse have decided to work together, choosing to go with the Converse Chuck Taylor 1970’s model as their next canvas. The upper of the silhouette features a reworking of a vintage Japanese textile, boro, into the iconic hi-top, allowing each pair to blend together the history of the sneaker brand and the hand-crafted details from which the fabric came. Each pair is comprised of both hand loomed indigo from old Japan mixed with patchwork to create a look that is more happenstance than anything else. No word yet on when these collaborative kicks will drop, but take two aspirin and continue after the jump to get a more detailed look at what’s to come.
