PONY is set to revive its classic City Wings sneaker, a retro basketball silhouette representing the brand’s most recognizable model. Built with clean lines that stay true to the shoe’s 1986 origins, the PONY City Wings gained a fair bit of notoriety thanks to the diminutive Spud Webb, who sported the kicks on his way to unseating teammate and defending champ Dominique Wilkins in the 1986 Slam Dunk Contest. Relive history and gain some throwback flair by picking up a pair when they launch in stores next month. The introductory White/Grey and White/Black/Red pairs release during the first week of August, followed by the Black/Red colorway on August 15th. They can be found at retailers including Concepts, 1973 by Mr.R (Miami), West NYC, atmos, Wish, Rime, Packers, and UBIQ.
