Hemp is a versatile plant that is suitable for a wide range of products from medicine to garments. Dutch designers WAARMAKERS and several companies – InHolland, NPSP Composites, and van.eko – got together to create an amazing electric scooter constructed from bio-composite hemp, flax, and bio-resin. This scooter is intended for a pay-per-use system, and it is capable of reaching up to 60km/h. In one charge, the scooter accumulates enough energy to roll around for two hours, while recharging will take under three hours. The monocoque body made from bio-composite shell proves to be lightweight and strong, making it suitable for these scooters.
