Through his luxury sportswear label Y-3, acclaimed Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto has enjoyed a decade-long partnership with adidas. Now from his Y's line, Yamamoto debuts a reworked adidas Superstar, built with premium materials and renamed the Y's Super Position. Featuring a smooth leather upper dressed with a tonal suede lace stay, the shoe loses the signature shell toe and gains zig-zagging stitch detail forming the adidas three-stripe, complete with overhanging cotton thread reminiscent of chain-stitch runoff on a selvedge chambray shirt. Available in two colorways -- a predominately white pair with red three-stripes and black heel tab, and a mostly black version with white toe box, sole and heel tab, as well as beige three-stripe stitch -- the Y's Super Position drops soon at Y's Tokyo stores, No. 6 London, No. 74 Berlin, No. 42 Paris, and select fashion retailers worldwide.
