Performances by Eminem these days are few and far between, but the Detroit rapper came out big to help Casio celebrate the 30th Anniversary of their G-Shock last night in New York City. The event was organized to kick-off the global celebration of the G-Shock line, with big wigs from every corner of the world in attendance to honor three decades of G-Shock innovation. While an introduction of the celebratory line of limited edition G-Shock timepieces – such as the Rangeman, the Baby-G, and the Master of G – and visits by the Brookyn Nets’ Brook Lopez, supermodel Jessica Stam, snowboarder Louie Vito, and actor James Marsden would normally have garnered all the headlines, it was Em who stole the show at the after-party alongside performances by Yelawolf and star DJ Mick. While rocking his new Casio G-Shock GD-X6900MNM Watch, Marshall treated the crowd to live renditions of classic tracks like ‘Lose Yourself’, ‘Stan’, ‘Cleaning Out My Closet’, and ‘The Way I Am’. Casio hasn’t released any official recordings of the performances, but those lucky to be in the audience have already begun to post them on the web.
