Frank151 Jay Z As Fine Art By Alex Reyes

Jay Z has lately become enamored with the art world, a preoccupation indicated by the unveiling of the cover art for Magna Carta Holy Grail, and more recently, his bravura — or foolhardy, depending on your perspective — performance art piece for “Picasso Baby” at New York’s Pace Gallery. In response to Jay’s encroachment into fine art, Alex Reyes turns the tables on Hova, injecting the rapper into iconic works by the likes of Pablo Picasso, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Renaissance master Leonardo da Vinci. Currently enrolled in the Maryland Institute College of Art as a Graphic Design BFA candidate, Alex Reyes injects a welcome bit of satire to Hova’s recent modern art leanings. See more of his work below.
