Nike SB Dunk Low SP Shanghai

The idea seemed overly ambitious, even by today’s standards, yet, http://nikeskateboarding.com” target=”_blank”>Nike Skateboarding was able to dedicate a design with the city of Shanghai itself. The result became the 2004 Nike SB Dunk Low “Shanghai”, considered by many to be the first official China collaboration by SB. 9 years later, http://nike.com” target=”_blank”>Nike and http://nikeskateboarding.com” target=”_blank”>Nike SB are bring this elusive Dunk back for the consuming public. Completely retooled for 2013, the so-called “Shanghai Dunk” still features many of the design remnants from 2004, including the debossed geometric pattern in reference to traditional Shikumen architectural designs and the gold metallic Swoosh. Yet, this 2013 variant includes a new last and the imprint of “LUWAN NEVER GONE 310103″ along its sockliner, a nod to the continuing influence of Shanghai’s historic Luwan District.

Created with 2013 in mind, the Nike SB Dunk Low SP “Shanghai” will be available starting this Saturday, August 31st, but only as a China-only exclusive at this moment.
