Inspired by an unassuming couch with deluxe ostrich leather appointment during a New York City furniture store visit, Nike designer Tinker Hatfield’s “Safari” print forever changed the notion of how sneaker should look like when the Beaverton-base company launched the Air Safari in 1987. Now, 26 years later, the beastly pattern will take center stage once again as the newest Nike Sportswear Safari Pack makes its debut.
Curated by Champs Sports for its The Game Plan initiative, the new Nike Sportswear Safari Pack is packed to the brim with goodies, including the Nike Safari Griffey 1 and Nike Veer. But the one silhouette prized by many would be the Nike Griffey 360 Swingman Safari Edition, which is a limited release. All kicks, along with matching Safari-themed apparel and accessories, will be available at Champs Sports retail locations near you on this coming Saturday, September 7th.
