Looking towards the future in industrial shades of black, white, gray, brown, and blue is the Public School Spring/Summer 2014 Menswear Collection. Displaying a fondness for boxy tailoring through its overtly starched t-shirts and overcoats, the upcoming Spring/Summer 2014 season reveals nothing egregious. On the contrary, the collection is too uppity for that. A confident air finds itself emanating from the conservatively clothed models as if they need only to wait for the right onlooker to pass by and realize that the clinical urbanity of their attire is not the only characteristic to their well fashioned threads. Bomber jackets, high-collared shirts, and baggy sweatpants that taper at the ankles also comprise Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne‘s strikingly pensive menswear line. Not wanting to disclose too much, Public School’s new season aims to harness just the right amount of mystery to keep the audience guessing, and from what we can see, it’s a concept worth racking our brains about.
