If you’ve had occasion to worry about the state of Bryan Cranston’s psyche considering the years he’s spent portraying Walter White in the acclaimed AMC drama Breaking Bad, you can rest assured the veteran actor has a beautiful place on the beach where he can go to decompress. The modest 2,450-square foot house, located in a beach community near Los Angeles, has three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. Dubbed the 3 Palms Project, the house was devised by project designer John Turturro of Turturro Design Associates to be a net-zero house, meaning the abode produces as much energy as it uses. According to Cranston, he and Turturro “challenged each other to turn the house into what it has become. We have photovoltaic solar panels, water heating panels, radiant heat in the floors, and we use old-fashioned fans. We combine modern technology with some old, tried and true methods for retaining heat and cooling down.” Check out more looks in the gallery below.
