Nike introduces the new LunarTerra Arktos Modular Boot, designed in mind with the harsh weather ahead. Nike senior designer Nate VanHook developed the solution from a from a pair of disparate inspirations: the modularity of Matryoshka dolls and the toughness of arctic bears. The resulting Nike LunarTerra Arktos delivers the lightweight comfort of a sneaker, combined with the rugged, insulated protection of a boot. The latest Nike technologies are used throughout the upper, featuring dynamic Flywire and Hyperfuse construction for an adaptive fit and increased resilience. Vac Tec molding is applied to the tongue, toe, and foxing to reduce seams and potential leak points, while a Lunarlon midsole shaves weight and maximizes comfort and mobility. A zoned sticky and hard rubber outsole is good for stability over any terrain. Finally, a sealed medial zip makes for easy on-and-off and releases a removable bootie, keeping the foot warm and dry after a hard day’s wear. Look for the Nike LunarTerra Arktos Modular Boot to hit select Nike Sportswear retailers starting in October.
