The notorious graffiti artist Kidult strikes again. This time, the victim was the legendary fashion house Chanel. Specifically, the brand’s Parisian storefront was defaced with dripping red paint announcing a “crisis day sale,” with prices marked “50% off.” For Kidult, the timing of last weekend’s stunt was optimized for maximum exposure, as the French capital is currently in the throes of Fashion Week. Ironically, Chanel would show off a collection just days later in which graffiti was a recurring motif, highlighted by the brand’s quilted handbags finished with spray-painted designs.
