Mary Shelley’s fabled creature gets a radical makeover in the upcoming Lionsgate film I, Frankenstein, based on the graphic novel of the same name by Kevin Grevioux. As the stitched-together monster, Aaron Eckhart loses the neck bolts but gains six-pack abs, exemplary fighting skills and the ability to speak with proper syntax. Adam — as Victor Frankenstein’s creature is called here — is caught in the middle of a battle between gargoyles and demons, where the ultimate consequence is the end of humankind. Directed by Stuart Beattie and co-starring Mirando Otto, Bill Nighy, Yvonne Strahovski and Jai Courtney, I, Frankenstein is slated to hit theaters January 14th, 2014. Check out the trailer below.
