The 2015 Cadillac Escalade marks the fourth generation of the large luxury SUV, continuing the brand’s push to be at the forefront of the full-size luxury sport utility vehicle market. Unveiled last night in New York City, the 2015 edition brings forth a whole new level of styles, refinements, and technology to go with its new curvy and edgy exterior. The front and rear lighting immediately stands out as does the rebuilt shield-esque front grille. Inside, the Escalade’s seating for eight has also been upgraded, with new front bucket seats, second-row captain’s chairs, and a back bench which also folds flat for cargo duty. Across all the sub-models – Base, Limited, Premium or Platinum – the engine available for all 2015 Escalades is a 6.2-liter version of GM’s all-new Gen 5 V8 with an EcoTec3 variant that retains Active Fuel Management cylinder-deactivation. The 2015 model also comes with a new set of safety features like new Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Lane Change Alert systems and a Driver Awareness Package that brings Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning System, and GM’s Safety Alert Seat. Production begins next Spring with more details sure to come, including its price tag, in the coming months.
