Jonathan Zufi understood early on the impact that Apple and its technological and design innovation would have on our society. That’s why Zufi, who runs the Shrine of Apple website, began collecting and photographing the brand’s wide range of products, including rare release all the way to blockbuster sellers. Overtime, he’s amassed over 150,000 photos, 650 of which appear in his new 326-page book, “Iconic: A Photographic Tribute to Apple Innovation.” The inspiration behind the book lies in Zufi’s desire to trace the company’s evolution both in electronics and design from the consumer’s point of view using images that range from a circuit board from the Apple 1 to more rare items like the Apple Lisa 2. There’s even a chapter on packaging; the first item consumers interact with from the Apple brand despite often being overlooked. The book is self-published and can be purchased via it’s online store both in a classic edition and a special edition.
