Straight out of the snowboard country surrounding Portland, Oregon, http://holdenouterwear.com” target=”_blank”>Holden (or http://holdenouterwear.com” target=”_blank”>Holden Outerwear) is the creation of Mikey LeBlanc and Scott Zergebel, two avid outdoorsmen who happen to be both snowboarders and designers. Not able to find snowboarding gears with progressive designs and eco-friendly fabric at the time, the two started Holden in 2002 and have since gained a following among like-minded athletes.
For Winter 2013, the company teamed up with http://stussy.com” target=”_blank”>Stussy to create a limited collection that includes outerwear, apparel, and accessories. All silhouettes featuring a special Stussy x Holden woven patch label and the exclusive Snow Skull Icon, with some also include a custom tree camo print that was specifically designed for the collaboration. To determine the collection’s functionality, members of its development team recently took the outerwear for a test run around Noboribetsu at Hokkaido, Japan, with videographer http://vimeo.com/shelbymenzel” target=”_blank”>Shelby Menzel, photographers http://markkohlman.com” target=”_blank”>Mark Kohlman and http://stussy.jp” target=”_blank”>Stussy Japan‘s http://shinokishima.com/” target=”_blank”>Shin Okishima in tow to document their adventure.
