Ducatti – Brazil Exclusive 1199 Panigale S Special Edition Tribute to Ayrton Senna

By - October 14th, 2013

It’s been 20 years since the death of Ayrton Senna, but his impact on the motorsport community is still felt today. Widely considered to be one of the greatest drivers to ever have commanded an F1 racer, Ducati decided to honor his memory with the surprise release of a special edition 1199 Panigale S at the Sao Paulo Motorcycle Show in Brazil. Built to be sold exclusively in Brazil, this 1199 Panigale S Senna dons a color combination chose by Senna himself when he visted the Ducati factory only weeks before his last race in Imola in 1994, which was later used to produce the first series of 300 916 Senna I’s, which, combined with the Senna II and III honored the Brazilian in 1995, 1996, and 1997. This new special edition will only see 161 run through the production line, all of which will go on sale beginning in June 2014, joined with a racing exhaust system and its place in the limited edition run etched onto the top fork.
