Often relegated as a sidenote, Reebok‘s contributions to performance footwear designs were at one time more significant than those by its rivals. This was especially true during the height of the brand’s popularity in the 1990s. In order to highlight the technical achievements of those days, Reebok and its Reebok Classic division launched “The Best of Its 90’s Technology History” initiative last month for the exclusive Reebok Classic Reserve Collection. This month, the history lesson continues with the Reebok Ventilator “90’s Technology” Pack.
At the time, the Reebok Ventilator was one of the lightest trainers available with an ideal combination of stability, flexibility, and comfort. This was because of the EVA midsole and Hexalite technology at the heel, plus the Ventilator’s visible arch support along its instep as well as the ventilated side panels for breathability. (hence the name “Ventilator”)
For the arrival of Fall and Winter, Reebok Classic updated the Reebok Ventilator with suitable materials such rugged suede, full-grain leather and durable ballistic nylon. In 3 different colorways that reflect the season, the Reebok Ventilator “90’s Technology” Pack for Fall/Winter 2013 is now available at select retailers with Reebok Classic Reserve Collection accounts.
