In celebration of the launch of the Nike Air Max '93 Air Programme, the crew at size? took the concept of max air to ridiculously literal heights. A short video teaser depicted the duo of Air Max 93s seemingly suspended up in the stratosphere, with Earth below and the inky blackness of space above. A new behind-the-scenes video reveals that the kicks did indeed make a brief extraterrestrial voyage, courtesy of a custom-built rig that ultimately reached an altitude of over 42,000 metres. The contraption was assembled from scratch by Adam Cudworth -- a distinguished member of the UK High Altitude Society -- at a workshop near Hereford, England.
