size? Presents the Making of the Nike Air Max ’93 Maximum Air Programme

In celebration of the launch of the http://freshnessmag.com/2013/09/23/size-x-nike-air-max-93-maximum-air-programme-detailed-look/” target=”_blank”>Nike Air Max ’93 Air Programme, the crew at http://size.co.uk/” target=”_blank”>size? took the concept of max air to ridiculously literal heights. A short http://freshnessmag.com/2013/09/20/size-x-nike-air-max-93-maximum-air-programme/” target=”_blank”>video teaser depicted the duo of Air Max 93s seemingly suspended up in the stratosphere, with Earth below and the inky blackness of space above. A new behind-the-scenes video reveals that the kicks did indeed make a brief extraterrestrial voyage, courtesy of a custom-built rig that ultimately reached an altitude of over 42,000 metres. The contraption was assembled from scratch by Adam Cudworth — a distinguished member of the UK High Altitude Society — at a workshop near Hereford, England. Check out how it was done in the video below.
