Full of automated precision instruments, polished exteriors and spotless American factory floors, Apple‘s “making of” video featuring the new Mac Pro is the embodiment of the idea that manufacturing and design are inextricably linked. That’s the notion that Jeff Williams, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Operations, discusses in the first portion of the video, showcasing a computer unlike any other that the Cupertino-based company has ever built. The Mac Pro was initially introduced back in June, and now that we’re getting closer to the machine’s December launch date, we’re learning more about the new processes that Apple has developed to build a computer from the ground up. “It’s pretty amazing to see it all come together,” Williams notes. After you watch the video, chances are you’ll agree.

That video totally justifies the $2999 price tag. Reminds us of the making video of the Tesla Model S!
