KAWS was in attendance at Galerie Perrotin New York last month, which occupies the lower floors of a landmark building at the corner of East 73rd Street and Madison Avenue. The occasion was the grand opening of the New York arm of the Paris-based gallery, with art world wheeler-dealers rubbing shoulders with artists and fashion designers alike. The high-profile guests in attendance spoke to the ultra-luxe status of the gallery, and an upcoming exhibition by KAWS will further bolster the reputation of the space. Entitled “Pass the Blame,” the show — featuring the “Should I Be Attacking” canvas pictured here — will kick off November 2nd and run through December 21st. Be sure to stop by if you’re in the area.
