Leave it to the Holiday spirit to bring together two cross-oceanic brands to help ring in the season. This time, Hong Kong’s CLOT teams up with Converse First String to release the Chang Pao Sneaker Collection, building on the two label’s already strong collaborative resume with a two-part release of the 1970’s Chuck Taylor All Stars. The collection includes a blue suede and a classic white canvas edition of the ’70’s silhouette, each fitted with a slightly tweaked version of the traditional gum sole that has become a signature for the CLOT for Converse works. Additional details include three Chang Pao-inspired buttons stitched into the upper near the top eyestays, elevated foxing, and additional cushioning for added comfort. Finishing off the release, each pair comes with special packaging and a printed dust bag to mark the occasion. The CLOT for Converse First String Chang Pao sneaker collection will be available in limited quantities beginning on Thursday, October 31 at the exclusive Juice Pop-Up store in Los Angeles at 7667 Melrose Ave, the only US retailer to feature the product. The product will also launch at Juice in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taipei and Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, November 2 and at select Converse First String retailers across the globe on Friday, November 8.
