Danny Brown, the 32 year-old Detroit native, is one of the most unique artists to have hit the scene in the last three years. Best known for his eccentric personality, infectious laugh (made Internet famous), and high pitched delivery, the Danny Brown fan club has been multiplying since the 2011 release of ‘XXX’ as a free download. In late September, Brown released his sophomore production ‘Old’ to critical acclaim, landing an 8.7 and a Best New Music branding on Pitchfork, while showing no signs of letting up anytime soon.
This year alone he’s been working the festival circuit pretty heavily, and after an appearance in 2012 at the Gathering of the Juggalos, there are few questions regarding his crossover appeal. Tonight Danny Brown will be performing at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Paris, which is set to stream live through pitchfork.com at 6:05 PM ET.
Update: At this time it’s unknown why, but the scheduled Danny Brown performance is not streaming at pitchfork.com. The next band set to stream is Disclosure. We will keep you posted of any developments.
