You are now feasting your eyes on the new Toyota Harrier, officially debuted today in Japan. With a look and style that draws heavily from the Lexus RX, the Toyota Harrier is only for Japanese domestic market, at least for now. It brings the luxury, functionality, and power you expect from the brand’s high-end line down with a lower price-point. It comes with a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder engine connected to a CVT that sends power to your choice of either a standard two-wheel drive system or an optional four-wheel drive set-up. This gas-powered version of the engine produces 151 HP with an average 37.9 mpg, but it’s expected hybrid engine – set for a January 2014 release – pairs a 2.5-liter engine with an electric motor to combine for a 196 HP, coming exclusively with the four-wheel drive arrangement. The entry price point begins at $27,300 and $36,300 for the hybrid model, but you’ll be feeling like a million bucks seated comfortably in its beautiful, hi-tech cabin.
