Mercedes-Benz is bringing a new toy to the Los Angeles Auto show next week: the SLS AMG GT Final Edition. While it’s arrival is drawing a lot of attention, it’s also bringing it with it some long faces as this will also mark the end of the line for MB’s gull-winged sports car. Limited to just 350 units, the Final edition is mechanically the same as the SLS AMG GT – with a naturally-aspirated 6.2-liter V8 with 583 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque – with all of the special tweaks appearing to be cosmetic. Both controlled by AMG’s Speedshift seven-speed dual-clutch trans, the SLS AMG GT will come in both a coupe and roadster edition, capable of hitting 60mph in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 197mph. If this news is leaving you feeling down, just remember that MB has recently unveiled the S65 AMG, which is more than enough to keep you feeling on cloud 9.
