It seems that December 20, 2013, the Windows music player we all grew up with, Winamp, will be playing its final tune. Beginning on that date, according to the Winamp homepage, Winamp.com and all Winamp downloads will be suspended, including any on-going support and updates. As you can expect, you’ll probably still be able to find links to the package elsewhere, but unless you’re a real die-hard, you might have to start saying your final goodbyes and move on to a new media player. It’s a tough pill to swallow and it certainly dates many of us, but there’s nothing we can do about it now. Until then, for old time’s sake, start up Winamp, grab some tissues, and play some Yesterday from The Beatles. Goodbye, old friend.
