BlackBerry teams up with Porsche Design to produce the P’9982, essentially a luxury version of the existing Z10 from the embattled telecommunications company. Aside from the stainless steel and Italian leather construction — as well as the Porsche Design branding — the device features specs identical to the Z10, which means the same 4.2-inch 1280 x 768 pixel resolution display, 8-megapixel camera, 4G connectivity and dual-core processor. There’s also 64GB of internal storage, as well as the option to expand with microSD. The handset runs BlackBerry’s BB10 operating system and is based on the GSM variant of the phone (which means it won’t work on some US networks like Verizon). The device launches November 25th through select Porsche Design retailers.
