When Nike designer Leo Chang started work on the sixth installment of Kevin Durant’s signature shoe, he took inspiration from the intricate craftsmanship contained in a wristwatch. Consequently, the smallest details were obsessed over, resulting in a shoe in which performance attributes and aesthetics are made to work in tandem. This interplay is brought to life in this upcoming Nike KD VI “Precision Timing,” featuring details that bring the clockwork motif to life. The upper is adorned with reflective radial machining lines that mimic fine wristwatch design. The Swoosh and KD logo reveal subtle micro machining marks, while the hits of metallic silver and gold throughout the shoe continue the clockwork storytelling. Mint accents finish the look with a pop of color. Finally, the numbers “35″ and “6″ are inserted into the stylized logo on the shoe’s tongue — a bit of intricacy designed by Chang himself. Check out more looks and an introductory video below, and look for the Nike KD 6 Precision Timing to launch in limited quantities starting December 7th.
