L.A.’s Generic Surplus teams up with Amsterdam-based menswear label OnFront to produce a handmade dress shoe, based off Generic Surplus’ Klein silhouette. The shoe has been retooled with a slightly revised shape, featuring a round toe, sharp lines on the ankle and a fine leather trim at the edges. The material program for this collaboration takes inspiration from a classic tweed hunting blazer, resulting in a the tweed heel panel combined with a sumptuous suede vamp. Limited to a quantity of just 25 pairs, the collaborative shoe launches exclusively at OntFront’s webstore starting December 20th. Check out a video below featuring Arubian singer and songwriter Pete Philly, who models the shoe while taking a walk in the Amsterdam neighborhood of Jordaan.
