Christopher Raeburn specializes in taking vintage pieces and deadstock fabrics — most often from military provenance — to create something new, through a process the British designer calls great fashion embodying sustainable intelligence. For his Fall/Winter 2014 collection, Raeburn created outerwear repurposed from the sheepskin greatcoats of Siberian army officers, making them the standout pieces from an already strong collection. A prevalent arctic theme ran throughout the range, seen in the parkas mined from German military sleeping bags, track pants in British Millerain, and lightweight nylon shells. The collection also saw the addition of knitwear for the first time, highlighted by a crewneck sweater adorned with a polar bear silhouette. See the collection below.
