Long before the 2005 NBA Championship and as the #1 pick during the 1994 NBA Draft, Glenn Robinson perfected his basketball skills closer to home in Gary, Indiana. During his time at Purdue University, the hometown hero made fellow Hoosiers proud when he received back-to-back awards of Big Ten Conference Player of the Year and USBWA College Player of the Year in 1994.
With the 20th anniversary fast approaching, Reebok Classic, in a time honored tradition, will celebrate Robinson's career as one of the most dominant basketball players with the re-release of his The Rail signature model. In Black with hits of Extreme Purple and Darkest Olive, Reebok The Rail's color scheme actually corresponds to the former team colors of the Milwaukee Bucks, which drafted Robinson in 1994. Similar to the Reebok Kamikaze I Shawn Kemp P.E., the Reebok The Rail OG is set for a comeback near the end of this month on Friday, January 31. Retails for $100 USD, it will be available via Villa, Shiekh Shoes, DTLR, Jimmy Jazz, Shoe Palace and Reebok.com.
Release Date: January 31, 2014 (Friday)
