The Teddy boy — a British ne’er do well from the ’50s and ’60s who cribbed style notes from the Edwardian period — was a steady influence on Hedi Slimane’s vision for Saint Laurent‘s Fall/Winter 2014 collection. The models sported prototypical gaunt rocker silhouettes, wearing black slim trousers and monk-strap creepers with an array of beautiful outerwear, some in black leather, houndstooth checks and fur. Varsity jackets and dinner jackets alike were punched up with animal prints in vivid ’50s shades, showcasing the kind of retro cool that Hedi makes irresistible to his acolytes. Check out more looks from Saint Laurent’s Paris Week presentation below.
