At the 2014 SIHH, Richard Mille debuted the RM36-01, created for the celebrated French rally driver Sébastien Loeb and featuring G-sensor technology that allows it to be worn in-race. The carbon composite and titanium case measures 47.7 mm in diameter and 17.37 mm thick, and features a pusher set into the crown which operates the function selector. Located on the dial between the 3 and 4 o’clock indexes, the function selector allows the wearer to change between the winding, neutral and the hand setting functions by pressing the button. The G-force sensor, meanwhile, measures up to 6G and is located at the center of the dial, accessible through an opening in the sapphire crystal. The movement inside is a manual winding tourbillon. The RM 36-01 Sebastien Loeb limited edition will be produced in a limited quantity of 30, with each numbered piece priced at $625,000.
